Denver's Athmar Park is located to the south of Downtown Denver. Some large roadways that sit inside the neighborhood include Federal Boulevard, Evans Avenue and Mississippi Avenue. Residents of this community are located close to I-25 as well as Downtown Denver.
Most of the homes in this neighborhood are affordable, especially for first-time homebuyers. They range in size from under 1,000 finished square feet - with two bedrooms and one bathroom to those with approximately 2,000 finished square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. However, some of the homes in Athmar Park, which were predominately built in the 1950s, have been renovated with additions of one or more bedrooms and bathrooms.
The Athmar Park community is located close to several parks and other recreational areas including Huston Lake, Clifford Aspgren Park, Habitat Park, and the South Platte.
