The City of Glendale sits on a small pocket of land that is completely surrounded by the City of Denver. However, Glendale is not part of Denver in terms of government. The entire city covers about 335 acres, and almost all of the housing in this community is multi-family. There are approximately 4,500 residents living in Glendale, most of who live in the city's 2,000 apartment units.
One of the most popular attractions in Glendale is Four-Mile Historic Park. Within the park is the site of Denver's oldest standing house - a landmark dating to the late 1800s. Four-Mile Historic Park sits on a piece of land that was a popular stop for stagecoaches traveling on the Cherokee Trail in the 1800s.
Glendale sits close to I-25 and there are several large stores and restaurants within the city. The City is also centrally located with convenient access to Downtown Denver, Cherry Creek, and even the Denver Tech Center. There are several hotels that sit inside of Glendale's city limits as well as health clubs, grocery stores, and many other places of business. Children living in Glendale attend schools within the Cherry Creek School District.
