Eldorado Springs Real Estate and Homes for Sale

Eldorado Springs is a small mountain hamlet located about eight miles outside of Boulder.  This little town is primarily organized around South Boulder Creek, with a good deal of small rustic cabins located on the banks.  Other homes are tucked away amongst the hills and sloping canyon walls.  The artesian water that comes from an aquifer deep beneath Eldorado Springs is world famous for taste and purity. If one should find themself in a home in Eldorado, they would be pleasantly surprised to find this water coming out of their sinks and showers.

Eldorado is also world famous for its pool, State Park, and first-class hiking and mountain climbing.  Although Eldorado is somewhat secluded, it is well worth the short ten-minute drive to Boulder, just to be able to live in one of the most beautiful places in Colorado.

World-class hiking and jogging trails -- Boulder is well known for its abundance of trails, and is frequently cited as the healthiest city in the United States, thanks to the number of people who participate in outdoor sports. Living in Eldorado Springs, you will be just a few minutes’ drive from some of Boulder’s best trails. For instance, the Mesa Trail, which is known as one of the best jogging trails in the country, can be accessed from Eldorado Springs Drive (Hwy 170).
 
Excellent opportunities for rock climbing -- Eldorado Canyon State Park offers some of the best rock climbing sites in the area, with a range of climbing difficulties and views that are nothing short of breathtaking. There are some minor trail closures from February 1st to July 31st to allow birds to nest in the canyon undisturbed, but this usually won’t affect your climbing plans dramatically. Eldorado Springs residents are literally only minutes from a treasure trove of trails!
 
Camping -- The Colorado Rocky Mountains are full of campgrounds, so there are plenty of places to camp near Eldorado Springs, which is perfect for residents who feel the need to be a little closer to nature every once in a while. With camping facilities in Rocky Mountain National Park, Golden Gate Canyon State Park, Boulder Campgrounds, and the Boulder Mountain Lodge, campers can choose from a variety of campgrounds, from primitive “back-country” campgrounds to those with the conveniences of a shower and electricity hook-ups.
